This comprehensive course in Prophetic Traditions (Hadith) focuses on the study of authentic sayings, actions, and approvals of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), primarily drawn from the most authentic collections of Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim. Students will learn the science of Hadith authentication, including the study of transmission chains (isnad), narrator reliability, and textual criticism. The course covers major themes in Hadith literature including worship, morality, social relations, governance, and spiritual development. Students will study selected Hadith from various chapters including faith, prayer, charity, fasting, pilgrimage, business ethics, marriage, and character development.
