
Course Description
This comprehensive course in Prophetic Biography (Seerah Nabawiyyah) provides detailed study of the life, character, and mission of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), drawing primarily from the classical work of Ibn Hisham and other authentic sources. Students will journey through the Prophet's life chronologically, from his birth in Mecca through his childhood, prophethood, migration to Medina, and the establishment of the first Islamic community. The course examines key events including the first revelation, early persecution of Muslims, the Hijra, major battles, treaties, and the conquest of Mecca. Special attention is given to understanding the Prophet's character, his relationships with family and companions, his methods of teaching and leadership, and the social and political context of 7th-century Arabia. Students will learn valuable lessons for contemporary Muslim life while developing deep appreciation for the Prophet's role as the final messenger.
